Muneiah Singiri


Muneiah Singiri is a master practitioner of Traditional Sri Kalahasti Kalamkari, the centuries-old art of hand-painting with natural dyes, native to Sri Kalahasti, Andhra Pradesh. Over more than four decades, he has devoted herself to preserving this storytelling tradition, translating India's mythology, spirituality, and nature into intricate hand-drawn narratives inspired by epics such as the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Alongside his natural-dye practice, she also creates contemporary Kalamkari works using acrylic media, blending timeless technique with modern expression.

A recipient of the Andhra Pradesh State Award (2003) and recognised as a Highly Performing Artist across South Central India. For nearly three decades, He has also served as an art educator, conducting workshops that pass Kalamkari's living heritage to younger generations, ensuring this invaluable art continues to inspire audiences worldwide.
