Contemporary Artist
Roma Handa
Roma Handa is a visual artist, art educator, and creator of commissioned art. Her work brings together devotional imagery and contemporary abstraction, drawing on Hindu spiritual traditions — Hanuman, Shiva, Kali, Nandi — alongside mantras, yantras, and sacred symbols like the Flower of Life. Using acrylic, gold leaf, and mixed media on canvas, she often weaves hand-lettered scripture around her central figures, turning each piece into both an artwork and an offering.
Alongside her devotional series, Roma creates richly textured abstract paintings inspired by nature and inner states — calm seas, blooming branches, radiant light — exploring themes of tranquility, abundance, and transformation through layered gold and earthy palettes.
Her paintings range from intimate studio pieces to large statement works and diptychs, and are available through private commission. Roma is based in India, and her art has found its way into homes and collections that value beauty with meaning.
