Abstract
Rajesh Kumar Singh
Rajesh Kumar Singh is a contemporary painter and printmaker. Singh holds an M.F.A. from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, and a B.F.A. from the University of Allahabad. His practice moves fluidly between abstract painting, printmaking, and mixed media, using layered textures, symbolic imagery, and fields of white and colour to explore memory, emotion, and the coexistence of chaos and harmony. Singh's achievements include the National Award at the 55th Lalit Kala Akademi Exhibition, the Print Biennale Award, the Prafulla Dahanukar Gold Medal, and a Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. His solo shows include India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, and Apparao Galleries, Chennai, alongside extensive group exhibitions, national artist camps, and workshops held across India over the past decade. His evocative and deeply personal visual language continues to earn wide recognition among collectors, curators, and critics alike.
