Ghanshyam Gupta
Ghanshyam Gupta is a painter, sculptor and printmaker who has spent four decades chasing colour as a language of the soul. Trained at MS University Baroda and later at London's Royal College of Art, where he studied as an Inlaks Scholar, he has exhibited at the Royal Academy's London Original Print Fair alongside Picasso, Matisse and Freud, and received the Nordsten Award for Best Print and Tokyo's Art Museum Award.
Gupta's signature works spiral concentric circles and threadbare lines into mesmerising optical illusions, what he calls his "Happy Vibration Theory," where colour becomes therapy and every canvas pulses toward joy, calm and inner peace. Equally at ease in stone, metal, fibre and serigraph, his pieces reside quietly in collections spanning the Ambani, Lodha and Jindal families to NGMA and galleries across London, Paris, New York and Tokyo. He works today from Mumbai, still chasing that first vibration.
