Dinkar Jadhav

Dinkar Jadhav is an award-winning Indian artist celebrated for his distinctive renditions of horses and bulls. He completed his General Diploma in Art in 1994 at Abhinava Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, and has been a professional artist ever since.

Jadhav finds constant inspiration in the natural world, working primarily in impasto — a technique of layering paint that gives his canvases a raw, textured energy. He builds his compositions from patches of colour, geometric forms and crisp angles, using bold reds, blues, yellows and whites to capture the play of light and shade.

He is best known for his acclaimed Ashwa Chitramala, or Horse Series, which brought him wide recognition and admiration.
