Tailor Srinivas

Tailor Srinivas is a contemporary Indian artist born in 1974 in Tekmal village, Telangana. His formal training — a Bachelor's degree from JNT University and a Master's from the University of Hyderabad — gave technical grounding to an artistic voice shaped long before, by the rhythms of rural life he grew up within.

Srinivas's paintings return again and again to the villages and farming communities of Telangana, rendered in earthy tones and boldly stylized, textured forms. Rather than simply documenting rural scenes, his work seeks out the quiet dignity and strength of the people who work the land, exploring what he describes as the profound bond between rural communities and Dharthi, the earth itself.

His art has earned a Silver Medal at the All India Art Competition and a State Level Award from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, and has been exhibited in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi.
